Abraham Fund: a not-for-profit fundraising and educational organization dedicated to enhancing coexistence between Israel's Jewish and Arab citizens American Friends Service Committee (Philadelphia, PA): a Quaker organization which includes people of various faiths who are committed to social justice, peace and humanitarian service. Its work is based on the belief in the worth of every person, and faith in the power of love to overcome violence and injustice. AVODAH: The Jewish Service Corps:a year long community service program for young Jews who want to work on America's pressing social problems. Center for Community Change (Washington, DC): an organization committed to reducing poverty and rebuilding low income communities. To do this, they help people to develop the skills and resources they need to improve their communities as well as change policies and institutions that adversely affect their lives. CCC believes that poor people themselves – through organizations they control – need to lead efforts to eliminate poverty. Center for Environmental Citizenship: a national non-partisan organization, founded by young activists in 1992 to encourage college students to be environmental citizens. CEC is dedicated to educating, training, and organizing a diverse, national network of young leaders to protect the environment. They also have a job site, EarthNet Jobs, with 150-200 jobs and internships specifically for activists 0-5 years out of college. Combined Jewish Philanthropies: CJP's central and overarching priority today is to build, strengthen and maintain an open, welcoming, vibrant Jewish community. Our Annual fundraising Campaign and our Endowment Fund growth enable us to allocate nearly $25 million every year to a wide range of educational, humanitarian, vocational, cultural, health care and social service programs locally, in Israel and in isolated Jewish communities around the world. Jewish Community Relations Council: The JCRC of Greater Boston is the representative voice of the organized Jewish community. Rooted in Jewish values and informed by Jewish history, JCRC also reflects the ideals of American democracy. Comprised of constituent organizations, the JCRC: serves as a catalyst for building a strong and vibrant Jewish community in Boston and around the world; advocates for a safe, secure, democratic state of Israel; promotes an American society that is democratic, pluralistic and just. Jewish Council on Urban Affairs(Chicago): combats poverty, racism and anti-Semitism in partnership with Chicago's diverse communties. Working throughout the city provides JCUA with a unique understanding of the economic, social and racial challenges which inextricably link all of our residents. JCUA recognizes that we are only as strong as the weakest among us and strives to help the most vulnerable in our society to empower themselves. Jewish Family & Life: Jewish Family & Life! has the goal of "changing the face of American Jewry, one family at a time."Its founders intend to reclaim the phrase "family values" to reflect the strong family traditions of Jewish culture in the language of the 90's. It will be a source of user-friendly, family-oriented information and entertainment for a new generation. Its target audience is between the ages of 25-49, as likely as not to be intermarried, with dual careers, assimilated into American society but with the desire to enrich their daily lives with a strong element of relevant Jewishness. Jewish Fund for Justice: assist community-based groups support programs that promote self-sufficiency and sustainable solutions to problems—not just emergency help to patch over a crisis situation. Jewish Public Affairs: The JCPA reflects a unique and inclusive partnership of national member agencies, local community relations councils and committees, and the federations of which they are a component part or affiliated agency. Jews United for Justice: organizes a visible Jewish presence and takes action for economic and social justice in the Washington, DC area. JUFJ provides Jews with an opportunity to weave together their Judaism and activism and creates a community in which they can explore and strengthen their commitments to both. Religious Action Center: The Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism (RAC) has been the hub of Jewish social justice and legislative activity in the nation's capital for over 35 years.
